New York City is one of the busiest cities in the world. With development in technology and infrastructure, people are becoming less involved in their community. There is a lack of communication and interaction in between people. Articles state that our social environment and behaviour can influence our population and even our health. music has the power to unite people together and create a better environment in our community. It allows people to communicate without any barriers because it is the universal language that everyone understands. New York City is surrounded by talented musicians. Subway musicians are the heart of the city. They are the ones who bring joy to the city and the ones who connect different cultures together. For my thesis, I want to expose our community to music to make New York City a more enjoyable place to live. By introducing music to our community, I believe that it will help enrich our environment and connect people with one another. Buskom, which is short for Busking Community, is a weekly guidebook that recommends different routes one can take to listen to subway musicians in New York. The routes are divided into various themes to help New Yorkers choose the route that they feel more comfortable with. It will encourage people to travel in between subway stations and enjoy music from different communities.
