Home is a central axis of existence and individual identity. It is universal to all human beings yet is unique to each person. There always has been a direct relationship between "where you are from" and "home." However, the relationship has been rapidly and dynamically shifting with globalization. There are countless people who leave home and spend most of their lives growing apart from it. What is home? Why is it always regarded as a geographical concept? What happens when you move away? When and how do we find ourselves at home, feeling grounded, with a sense of belonging? YOU ARE HOME began in search of answers for those questions. It explores the alternative notion of ‘home’ with emphasis on the malleability of space and increased mobility in our lives, and how it is profoundly linked to our identity. It hopes to reinvent the meaning of home, and communicates that possibility of building community and making ourselves at home lies within us, no matter where we are.
