Have you ever traveled to a country where you do not speak the language? It can be a frustrating experience to try to navigate and explore a city when you don’t know the language. Many tourists experience this when they travel to New York City. In 2011 there was approximately 10.6 million international visitors in the big city — not all of them fluent English speakers. See NYC is not your typical New York City guidebook. See NYC is a guidebook that does not use written language to guide tourists, but uses visual communication such as pictures, icons and symbols.
