Tet-à-Tet is a self-guided toolkit for recognising your current state and finding practices that support you in the moment. In a time when media is saturated with advice on managing stress and anxiety, the abundance of information can itself become overwhelming, especially when a person is already in distress and unable to determine which practices are most helpful.
The toolkit addresses this challenge by creating a structured yet intuitive system for self-regulation. It combines a deck of somatic and reflective practices with a filtering mechanism that helps users narrow down the most relevant techniques based on their current feelings, mental state, physical sensations, and immediate needs. By layering simple filter cards over a numbered practice board, users arrive at a small selection of practices tailored to their situation.
Tet-à-Tet includes two versions designed for different contexts. The In-House Kit supports deeper reflection and includes a larger set of practices for use in a private space, while the Travel Kit offers a more compact selection designed for use on the go. Drawing from therapeutic, somatic, and mindfulness-based methods such as breath regulation, grounding exercises, cognitive reframing, and sensory awareness techniques, the toolkit reframes emotional regulation as a quiet conversation with oneself and creates a private space for reflection.
