Most young adults today struggle with mental health. While there are many mental illnesses and ways people unknowingly deteriorate their mental health over time, rumination anxiety remains one of the most prominent, significantly decreasing quality of life and detaching individuals from themselves and how they are meant to think, feel, and act.
Rumination anxiety causes self-doubt, absent-mindedness, and pulls individuals out of the present moment by keeping them stuck in repetitive, negative thought loops. A 2025 study builds on existing research and shows that over 70% of young adults experience frequent overthinking, with rumination identified as a key driver of anxiety and decreased mental clarity.
Despite this, existing solutions are often complex, passive, or difficult to access in moments of need. Specifically, there are few solutions that effectively address rumination anxiety in real time.
