Losing your glasses has got to be the most inconvenient thing to happen when you're reliant on them. Unlike losing a wallet or phone, how would you find your glasses if you can't see?
Can You Read This? is an emergency box and booklet that provides a safe place to store a back-up pair of glasses that is readily available in the event that you lose your current pair. It encourages you to put one that you already own into the box upon opening. This may be an older pair or even your current ones if you are wearing contacts. Mimicking the classic “in case of emergency” box design, it is made to hang in a spot that would be visible to someone with or without their glasses. The booklet within the box humorously explores the inconvenience of not being able to see properly through distorted visuals and almost illegible text. In addition to losing an important necessity, it serves as a reminder to exercise caution when you're out and about without your glasses on.
