My thesis explores how each of the five senses carry nostalgia. Through a combination of different print media that represent my own memories, the project is a collection of smaller pieces, each under the umbrella of a specific sense. Everything Means Everything to Me aims to represent my own intense fleeting moments of memory, furthered by their association to taste, touch, scent, sight, or touch, into print. I am interested in exploring how to represent non-physical ideas and emotions as a physical manifestation. The project takes the form of a series of books and posters each of which represents one of the five senses. These smaller pieces explore identity, physicality, nostalgia, and the meanings of objects in relation to memory.
