Wait No More is a compilation of quotes and conversations with 20-something individuals from different backgrounds. The project delves into the profound yet often unspoken relationships they have with their grandparents. Upon the sudden loss of my grandfather, I was confronted with the fragility of life. I found myself grappling with the harsh reality that the time we have with our loved ones is finite and fleeting. Reflecting on our life spent together, I have realized how much we did, and how much more we could have done together. It struck me that instead of merely coasting through relationships and taking them for granted, we should cultivate deeper connections. This project contemplates the dynamics of family ties that are simultaneously close yet distant, prompting reflection on how I, and possibly others, could have nurtured stronger connections with my grandparents. It taps into the emotions surrounding the thoughts of our grandparents. Typography plays a crucial role in capturing the essence of each interviewee’s sentiments. With unique compositions and arrangements, they each mirror the interviewee’s emotions and tell their own story.
