New York City has a long and vital history of rock and roll music. However, since The Strokes in 2001, there has not been a band to carry on that legacy. The Britanys are a band, from New York City, doing just that. In no way are they re-inventing the wheel or are at the forefront of innovation, but rather they embrace the voice of New York rock and roll music from the past. The Britanys carry that legacy into the future.
