Communication Voyager

The Communication Voyager is a web-based, non-linguistic archive attempting to convey what it means to be human to a non-human. Its purpose is to represent our species as it stands on our Earth today. Much like the original Voyagers released by NASA, it carries a collection of images that communicates a range of our survival means, from something as brutal as war to something as simple as a handshake.
Its structure is an extensive system that breaks down the cause and effect of our everyday actions since the beginning of the human race (shelter to a house, drilling to earthquakes, writing to ink, etc.). The use of images allows this system to be visually portrayed to an “intelligent alien” that may attempt to understand this information, or merely explore its seemingly infinite realm.
The project’s initial use is envisioned as a digital disk attached to a space probe, much like the original golden Voyager record. In the hope for a similar mission soon, the Communication Voyager will continue to track and record our images within its system, until the end of our species.
