THE BLACK FUTURES PARTY is a black political party that aims to liberate, uplift and unify all people of African descent. We work for a society in which all black people are intellectually, socially, economically, and politically empowered. Our mission is to reclaim our national identity and create legislative change by turning ideas into laws. We seek to address the collective white man’s historical record—his ego, cruelties, ignorance and greed—which are directly responsible for the condition in which we find black people here in America and around the world. THE BLACK FUTURES PARTY takes influence from past black political movements that fought for the emancipation of ethnic minorities by any means necessary. We are youthful, intriguing, determined, hopeful—firm, but not unwilling—and above all, we are fully committed to using the political arena as a platform to fight against anti-black rhetoric and the terrorizing systems of a white supremacist, capitalist, patriarchal society. The visual language of THE BLACK FUTURES PARTY is multi-faceted and a direct reflection of the young black men and women who make up the political party. The color scheme is dynamic and progressive. Red and blue have always been traditionally associated with politics; however, these colors when combined with black, take on a new meaning. It was also imperative to have a color scheme that reflected THE BLACK FUTURES PARTY social culture. Pulling inspiration from the Pan-African flag, a vibrant green, deep orange and black were selected as a second primary color scheme. We are ready to radicalize the way blackness is perceived.
