Reggaetón Dictionary

As a Latina, I listen to Reggaetón every single day. I hear it at home by myself, with friends at a party, walking to school… everywhere basically. It is my favorite type of music. When I moved to New York and started meeting people from different parts of Latin America, I realized that yes we speak the same language, Spanish, but we all have different slang words that I was unaware of. So I started to be really curious about all these different slang words being used in different places, and started to look them up in order to incorporate them in my vocabulary. But then I came to the conclusion that I have heard all those slang words before meeting my new friends without even knowing. I heard them in the lyrics of songs. Reggaetón songs. So for my thesis project I wanted to create a fun Reggaeton dictionary where people would be able to look up some of the words that are being used in this popular genre. The goal is for the reader to understand the meaning of these words, how to use them in a phrase and ultimately, have fun with it.
