Sharing memory takes various forms something simple as telling it verbally to something more complicated like composing songs. The question I faced was how can memory go beyond sharing. Can it be experienced? Then, I realized the possibility of Virtual Reality. The goal of the project was to build a VR environment about my personal memory with vibrant colors and abstraction with text as supplemental factor that viewers can experience. The project is about experiencing memory through sounds, visuals, and text.
The project is titled Inside because I believe that people have rooms of their memory inside them and my project invites the audience into mine. People would access the videos through QR codes. The audience is placed in the rooms of my memory as soon as they start the videos. Each video is around two minutes long with sounds that are supplementing the images. The goal was to create feelings and atmosphere of the memory I have for people to experience them and provide visual satisfaction during the view.
