Whenever we discover a new place in the world, a very special feeling takes over us. It is as if we were owners of a treasure that others don’t even know it exists. The experience is embedded in our brains in the form of a memory, and we usually have the need to share it with the world.
Today, people use social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, to share their memories, but these platforms have evolved into places of business ruled by influencers. These sharing models seem to disconnect people from reality, and from basic human behaviors such as intuition, and curiosity. In an intent to liberate people from likes and followers, and to re-connect them to their surroundings, Drift brings to life a space created by memories shared anonymously, in which the user is encouraged to explore, get lost, and hopefully, get inspired by other people's discoveries to observe the world in a new way.
Using geolocation to map memories, the user is able to navigate the map, and play the memories attached to the different locations. The user is also able to travel into the past, allowing them to get lost in different dimensions of memories.
