Space: In Two Parts is an interpersonal investigation of our relationship to the idea of “space,” not in a physical sense, but the one that exists in ourselves and the many moments to come when we inhabit inside them. My aim for this thesis is to let us view and feel the ways others imagine their comfort outside of the physical spatial sense. I want to help the reader grasp the ephemerality of space which changes the instant time passes.
The Survey Booklet is a tool to meditate and imagine the possibilities of what “safe space” can be, presenting a transparency of my inquiry on space. Through responses curated from a series of questions I created, such as "What colors" "shapes," "smells," "objects," "living organisms," "words are in your ideal safe space?" and "What existing," "movies," "music inform your safe space?", the booklet puts to words the underlying concepts which make up the nuances of intimate, safe space further explored in the second book.
Good Space Journal is a book about experiencing spaces that are intimate, meaningful, looking at the memories that remain long after viewing and feeling them.
