Through fragrance, I explore the connection between time and its passage.
Three custom-formulated perfumes—Kalpa (Eternal Tides, woody), Kṣaṇa (The Fleeting Instant, floral), and Salila (Endless Flow, aquatic)—embody the philosophical themes of permanence, transience, and transformation. Crafted from natural materials, each scent evokes a distinct sense of time while encouraging moments of reflection.
Kalpa grounds, Kṣaṇa embraces the fleeting moment, and Salila invites flow. The tension between the organic and the geometric layers in both the scents and the visual identity reflects the layered nature of time, creating a multi-sensory experience. This project invites users to engage in a mindful ritual, where fragrance becomes a tool for introspection, helping them connect with the present, embrace change, and reflect on their passage in time.
Time serves as the guide for this project.
