My thesis project celebrates international and national holidays throughout the year by designing a unique postcard for each of the 365 days. Each postcard features simple geometric shapes—circles, semi-circles, triangles, and rectangles—to create modern, visually engaging designs. The minimalist approach makes some of the designs intentionally abstract, inviting curiosity and encouraging the audience to flip the postcard to discover which holiday it represents. To complement the postcard aesthetic, I developed a custom typeface following the same geometric principles, creating a cohesive and harmonious visual language. On the back of each postcard, a QR code links to a dedicated website where users can view the entire collection and enjoy an interactive online shopping experience. The website enhances accessibility and showcases how the minimalist design approach brings together a diverse range of holiday themes. This project not only highlights the diversity of holidays but also demonstrates the impact of simple shapes in visual communication.
