Beyond the Obvious: Stories from the 6th Sense is a dynamic project that explores women's intuition, instincts, and subconscious awareness through portraits, a book, and an interactive exhibition—The 6th Room.
The 6th Room is a mini-exhibition designed to challenge viewers to step beyond their comfort zones. Through hidden clues and an unsettling atmosphere, the exhibition invites participants to use their 6th sense and analytical skills to navigate the space. The room features large-scale body portraits (22 × 30 in and 62 × 63 in) and head portraits (8.5 × 11 in) depicting women in moments of deep perception and introspection. The fixed lighting and unusual atmosphere create an immersive experience that encourages visitors to decode, observe, and question what they perceive.
The book is an unusual artifact that collects portraits of women and anonymous notes reflecting on their intuitive experiences. The book is tailored toward women, inspired by conversations with my friends—strong, intuitive women—and our collective discussions about how intuition acts as a superpower that guides us through life's uncertainties. Designed with a light pink color scheme, the book embodies feminine energy, featuring pearlescent pink and gold pages. The vinyl holographic cover, resembling fractured glass, highlights a striking head portrait of a woman with closed eyes, evoking an unsettling yet captivating attraction to its contents.
This project challenges viewers to question perception, uncertainty, and instincts, offering an immersive journey into the often-overlooked power of women’s intuition. It blurs the boundaries between logic and the unknown, inviting participants to engage with their own senses in a new way.
