The project about pets is a big part of my life because that's where I have my regrets. Seven years later, I still regret that I could not take care of a dear friend I met for the first time in my life because I moved to New York. Pets are like family members, but those who have never had pets may never understand these feelings. I would love to speak about my theme to anybody.
Visualizing these feelings, I use hand knits to reflect data. By knitting with my own hands, I deliver a warmer feeling about the theme to my audience, and the book displays the images at the same size as my actual data (knit), which would give them a more realistic sense.
The environment surrounding pets is surprisingly cruel (or unsurprising), and humans create it. It may be easy to get a pet, but people should know how much responsibility they need to have. My goal is to "weave" their irreplaceable lives by sounding the alarm bell through this project.
My topic has become more about sending love and respect to pets rather than “animals.” Therefore, I hope this book will be accessible to many people, both animal owners and non-owners, to help them understand the responsibility humans have for their pets. I want to tell people how they can make their pets less sad and live happy life.
