Fool (2023), is a short film that explores the notion that people are fools when it comes to love from the perspective of a female protagonist. Initially, she is naive and blissfully unaware of her 'situationship' and the reality of the world around her. She later wakes up in the middle of the night to find that her love interest is gone—she searches the house to find him but eventually realizes that he has left. She begins to spiral and overthink everything she could have done wrong to push him away. When she gets in touch, he gives her a vague excuse that leaves her feeling in limbo—stuck wishing she never called him but wanting to see him again. The film's climax leaves her feeling defeated, as though she can never trust again. This film captures our innate sense to put ourselves through the pain of trusting someone again because we are all just fools in love.
